I have purchased a 54 reg S-type diesel manual , with lots of faults I am working through . The main problem is after running for 15 seconds at idle is goes into restricted performance and the amber light comes on and it won't rev over 2750 revs . I have an OBDII code reader and found that the problem was in the air mass flow sensor, which is just after the air filter. I pulled this out and found it was dirty and had butterfly wings in it.
