There are several required parameters I know of, that you must meet to trigger an active regeneration. Warm up, DPF temperature, acual soot load, caucualed soot load, mileage. 1) get a non delete tune (or full delete) before they aren't avalible. 2) get a polar fis or other such temp and soot monitor.

They should have and it would be easy to rig via a heat sensor, but manufacturers choose not to fit them because it reminds drivers of an inconvenience of owning a diesel. Added a bottle of forte DPF cleaner first. Sat in car with the revs around 2100-2400. Took about 10 mins for the engine temp to get to around 80C. Left the revs running for about 10-15mins.
